To file GSTR-1, you need to report the outward supplies (sales) made during the relevant tax period on the GST portal.

Step-by-step process

1. Go to the official GST Portal and log in with your GSTIN/user ID and password.
2. Go to:
   Services → Returns → Returns Dashboard
3. Select:
   • Financial Year
   • Return Filing Period (Month/Quarter)
   • Click Search
   • Select GSTR-1 → Prepare Online
